Shoshonean Parade Thurs. July 19

Let’s welcome Jackson Hole’s native peoples and turn out for the Shoshonean Reunion Parade this Thursday, July 19, 9:00 A.M. Parade route is from Snow King Avenue to Glenwood Ave. to Broadway to Willow Street, and back to Snow King.

Parade attendees will see floats; drummers, dancers, and royalty in traditional costumes; horseback riders; and more. The annual reunion, Shoshonean Gathering XIII, is hosted this year by the Shoshone-Bannock and Eastern Shoshone Tribes who are native to Jackson Hole area. The theme for the reunion this year is “Always Remembered, Never Forgotten,” and is taking place in Jackson Hole from July 19-21.

Please pass on and enjoy this rare opportunity to show support for Jackson Hole’s native people.There is a Dance Demonstration also open to the public on Saturday at Snow King Pavilion. Time to be announced.
