Make Old-Fashioned Valentines

After a successful family fun program braiding miniature rugs in January, the Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum staff is offering another activity in February to correspond with Valentine’s Day. On February 11, during the program titled “How Do I Love Thee,” families will create old-fashioned valentines from a variety of creative materials. Included with the craft making are exciting love stories set in Jackson Hole. The program is in the museum classroom, 225 N. Cache.

Second Saturday Family Fun continues on March 10 when participants explore bird facts and build bird baths. On April 14 families will decorate and plant a mini greenhouse in preparation for spring. The final family program on May 12 explores the topic of American Indians; families will sew a pair of moccasins. All programs include storytelling in the museum.

Suggested donation is $5 per child or $10 per family. Child must be accompanied by an adult(s). Please contact Mindy Barnett, Youth Education Assistant, 733-2414, for more information.
