Bagels & Banter with author Randy’L Teton

friday, oct 25 at 10:30 am

Meet the official Shoshone model for the U.S Sacajawea Dollar Coin and children’s book author of It’s Her Story: Sacajawea.

History Jackson Hole welcomes Randy’L Teton as she talks about her graphic novel, followed by a book signing with books available for purchase at the Jackson Hole History Museum. Free Museum entrance for event! Enjoy bagels, too.

Randy’L is a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe and will share her journey as the “only living and youngest model on US currency” and how she published her book about Sacajawea’s journey with the Lewis & Clark Expedition.

Teton will answer the following questions:
What happened to Sacajawea after the two-year expedition? Did she have more children? Did she pass away at a young age or live to be an elder? What is the correct way of spelling her name?

Teton will stay for a Lunch & Learn conversation also on Friday, October 25 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. in the History Museum’s Classroom. If you attend, please bring a brown bag lunch. Lemonade and cookies will be served. Museum entrance is also free for this event.
