Homeschool Lesson Days

november 15, 18 & 21 | senior 10-11 and junior 1:30-2:30

This November, we are offering three homeschool lessons to two different age groups at the Jackson Hole History Museum for families who want extra hands-on learning, socialization, and most of all – local history!

All the lessons will be in the gallery and classroom at the museum. The cost is $12/student, including entry to the museum and the specific lesson. Chaperons are not required but are invited to join free of charge.  The Front Desk will collect payment on the day of the class – cash or credit card.

Ideally, students ages 6 to 9 would enroll in junior classes, and students aged 10 to 14 would enroll in senior classes. If you have more than one student, you will need to fill out this form separately for each.

  • Mountain Men and Beavers will focus on the early history of Europeans in the valley and how their new presence impacted our valley.
  • Women’s Work and Wear will focus on women getting the right to vote in Wyoming and teach an introduction to embroidery.
  • Sheepeaters through Archaeology will focus on Sheepeater Native Americans, who were unique in many ways and teach an introduction to archaeology, which is the root of our knowledge of the Sheepeaters.
