Our Education Philosophy
At History Jackson Hole, we support place-based education because it allows all of us to make genuine and more significant connections between what is being learned and where we are. We provide project-based learning and use the whole-child approach to create a lasting impact so youths feel safe, respected, and valued during their learning time.
Camps
Through hands-on activities, recreational games, and active field trips, campers not only learn about local history – they experience it.
We value collaboration and community partnerships. Below are a few of our current youth programs offered through partners.
Educational Partnerships
Rising Educator internship
The JHHSM partners with Rising Educators to offer a paid internship program for Latinx High School Youth. The internship provides training and professional development and matches each intern with a local organization serving summer camps and youth programming.
The application process begins in January for the upcoming summer. Email Director of Education Catherine Maguire for more information.
AFTERSCHOOL AT THE LIBRARY
Drop by Teton County Library’s Youth Auditorium for free during the school year for 5 minutes or an hour to explore Jackson Hole’s local history with real artifacts, engaging read-alouds, and hands-on activities. See more information from Teton County Library.

After the Bell
Join us at the Jackson Hole Middle School for a Historical Fiction Writing Club during the school year.
