Stan Klassen Research Center

Located at the Museum on 225 N. Cache.

Research Requests and Appointments

The Stan Klassen Research Center is open to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm by appointment only. Email and phone requests are dealt with on those days, unless prior arrangIMG_1442ements have been made. Please call (307) 733-2414 or email to make an appointment or to request information.

School and History Day Students:

Please note that all students are expected to make their own research arrangements. We are happy to assist but we do not respond to research requests from students’ parents; JHHSM believes strongly in our mission of education and this includes assisting learners of all ages in finding out how to use primary resources and conduct their own research.

About the Research Center

Researchers, students or people who just want to know something about Jackson Hole, can visit our Research Library to search over 16,000 images, 10,000 documents, 400 oral histories, an extensive Western history magazine collection, local newspaper microfilm and hundreds of books, films and videos about the West and our region. The Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum houses and maintains a cooperating collection of the Teton County Library. The collection is non-circulating, but available for public use at the museum.

Please call for your appointment with our Research Assistant, Nora, or Research Coordinator, Steve – 307-733-2414.
