Indians of the Greater Yellowstone

The Jackson Hole Historical Society and Museum celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of our original museum at the corner of Glenwood and Deloney as well as its 55th Anniversary on Friday, August 2nd, 2013, in honor of the museum’s founder W.C. “Slim” Lawrence.

IMG_5195 horse smThe opening exhibition, Indians of the Greater Yellowstone, features highlights from Slim’s outstanding collection of regional archaeological artifacts as well as exhibits focusing on the Mountain Shoshone and Crow Indians’ interaction with the natural environment.

Tickets purchased at the 225 N. Cache Street or the 105 Glenwood Museum locations allow admission at both facilities. The Indians of the Greater Yellowstone Museum is open from Memorial Day weekend through the last Saturday in September.
